Have I got a classy affair for you ladies this morning! I spotted this stunning wedding on one of my fav wedding photographer’s blogs and quickly shot the talented Chloe of Caught The Light a mail to ask ‘pretty please’ can I blog this wedding. Lucky for us she said yes, so without further ado here’s what Chloe had to say about Chenda and Andrew’s Mayfair extravaganza.

“I had the privilege of photographing this intimate and international wedding in Mayfair on a quiet Friday in July. Chenda was my Haribo bride and came to our meeting armed with three bags of my favourite sweets, knowing full well that I love edible gifts and so began our instant friendship.

On the afternoon of the wedding, I met Chenda at Claridges and left her to get ready, whilst I went ahead to Farm Street Church in Mayfair to meet her shy and sweet groom, Andrew.

Their guests enjoyed a few celebratory drinks at The Punch Bowl next door, whilst recording secret video messages downstairs for the blushing bride and groom, before we all left in taxis to Launceston Place, a very private and discreet restaurant close to their hearts.

I created a tiny Polaroid guest book complete with photos and messages from their guests from all around the world. I love giving my couples something tangible to take home with them on their wedding day and these instax minis are just perfect.

I had a brilliant afternoon with the lovely Chenda and Andrew and the attentive staff at Launceston Place too. It really is an honour to share in such a personal occasion.”

  1. What church is that? It's amazing! Suits the chic wedding perfectly, but with an air of gravitas and solemnity too.

  2. It was Farm Street Church in Mayfair, where the groom's Australian parents married when they first moved to London. I love a sentimental venue.

Thank you for the feature, Adelle!
