>> NEWEST SPONSOR << RACHEL'S GALLERY

I'm very excitied to introduce you to my newest sponsor Rachel's Gallery.  Rachel Glittenberg produces stunning works of art and is now offering a wedding package to those who would like to commission a piece of art as a gift for the lucky bride and groom or you may even want to add a commission to your gift list.

Below is one of Rachel's most recent wedding commissions and pictures of the hardback book, showing the paintings progress, that comes as part of the package.

Ellie & Poppie

I've asked Rachel to share some of her gorgeous commissions with us and tell us a bit more about herself...

Could you tell Peonies & Pearls a little bit about Rachel’s Gallery?

Rachel's Gallery was established 10 months ago. I sell original art works, mainly oil paintings and pastel drawings, I have my own line of greetings cards, and also run art workshops and 1 to 1 classes.

Why are you an artist? How did you get in to the arts?

Being an artist is something inherent within me. The profession chose me more than I chose it and I am very grateful for that. I have had a passion for drawing for as long as I can remember, so it was natural for me to attend art school to train to as an artist. In the next couple of months, I am going full-time as a professional working artist, which is extremely exciting.

Angel of Love

How would you describe your style?

I would say my style is colourful, bold and full of energy and passion. I work to capture the essence of my subject. I have many verbatims from clients on my website confirming they can feel the vibrancy and emotion in my work. It is so lovely for people to connect with and be moved by my paintings, as this personal touch is what I strive for when creating a unique piece of art work.

The Dance

What advice would you give to a couple when choosing to commission a piece of art as a wedding gift or as an item on their gift list?

I would suggest to bear in mind the taste of the person they are commissioning the work for, maybe think about the size of the canvas that would be suitable. I would also need a range of regular sized, good quality photographs of the subject, if relevant.

Meadow of Cornflowers

How much time should a couple give when commissioning a piece of art? What prices do your commissions start at? What’s included in your package?

I need on average a 5-6 week turnaround time, though this can be much quicker for less complex pieces. My prices start at £135 for a signed original pastel drawing (unframed) and £195 for a signed original oil painting on canvas. The full wedding package deal I offer starts at £395 which includes a signed original oil painting on canvas, a hard back high gloss photo album of your painting being created, using high definition photographs, delivery within London, rose leaf confetti and a bottle of pink champagne. It's worth bearing in mind that each piece of art work is unique and is a different price, so it would be best to contact me so I can advise in more detail on costs.

Anything else you'd like to tell us?

I have my first London Gallery show coming up in September which is very exciting, and I am also having an open studio in early June. My Rachel's Gallery bi-monthly newsletter features more details on all my future events. A copy can be requested using the request form on the front page of my website. I am also hoping to get my Rachel's Gallery Blog up and running this Autumn, which is something to look forward to.
