Alexandra King debut bridal collection is intimate, hand crafted and produced on an exclusive scale from the designer’s rural studio in Somerset, UK. Her designs take inspiration in both craftsmanship and style from the golden age of Paris Couture and the Hollywood silver screen. Each dress takes its name from the cast list of Sunset Boulevard, one of Alexandra’s favourite films and inspirations.

The seven pieces range from an effortlessly chic, 1950s inspired tulip dress and scalloped coat, to the ballerina length tulle gown and a heart stoppingly elegant, hourglass cut dress. Fine hand-beaded detailing that catch the eye as if they were sparkling jewels are featured on each dress with every bead hand sewn at her UK studio. All fabrics and materials used are carefully sourced with all production conducted in-house to ensure the label’s ethical credentials.

Prices start from a reasonable £700 and the dresses are available exclusively made to order, on and off-line with consultations upon request. Alexandra offers a traditional bespoke service with a unique British charm and craftsmanship.

“I have made bespoke wedding dresses for women worldwide and I wanted to create a collection that showed individual British style focusing on design and craftsmanship” says Alexandra. “The dresses are specifically designed to feel light and refined without the feeling of being trapped in a huge dress. They are designed to make you feel beautiful whether you’re the bride at a wedding or walking along the red carpet.” On production Alexandra has a clear aim, “Ethically producing and hand crafting the dresses in the UK where I can control the quality, focus on skills and fair pay is key to the label.”
